Justin Taylor was appointed Chief Compliance Officer in 2026, having joined FinDev Canada in 2022. He leads the organization’s compliance function and oversees its financial crime program.  He previously conducted business integrity risk assessments and advised organizations on strengthening internal controls and adopting responsible business practices.

He brings an interdisciplinary approach to risk management, drawing on over 20 years of experience in credit risk, government affairs and stakeholder relations, human rights, and strategy in the private, public and charitable sectors. 

Justin holds professional certificates in compliance, corporate governance, and risk. He earned a Master's in Political Economy from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. He is a committed lifelong learner and volunteers with start-up charities, advising them on strategy and governance.
