Gabriele Friedinger joined FinDev Canada at the beginning of 2023 as the Director of People and Culture. Her primary focus is on building up the People and Culture function further within FinDev Canada. Gabriele is passionate about creating a workplace where everyone can fully develop their potential while contributing to our overarching business objectives and making a positive impact on society.

With a career spanning different countries and industries, Gabriele brings extensive experience in People and Culture.  Before joining FinDev, she worked as a senior Organizational Consultant, advising organizations on topics related to organizational development and people and culture. Prior to that Gabriele has held key HR leadership roles in the financial service industry. Notably, she was the Head of HR for ING Bank in Austria, the regional Head of HR for Central Europe at Western Union, and the regional Head of HR for Western Europe at Banco do Brasil. Gabriele also spent six years at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C., where she served as an HR Business Partner and a People Development Specialist.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and International Marketing from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Gabriele is also a certified systemic coach.
