Anne Gaboury, appointed to the board of FinDev Canada in February 2019, has more than 30 years of experience at Desjardins Group, a major Canadian cooperative financial group, including 25 years in the development of inclusive finance and blended finance, abroad. At the head of Développement International Desjardins (DID), from 2002 to 2018, she leads an organization bringing together a hundred experts working to develop capacities and finance inclusive financial systems targeting the “bottom of the pyramid” (individuals and small businesses ), in more than forty countries. Then, from 2019 to 2021, in the Desjardins Business Services sector, her work mainly focused on support strategies for entrepreneurs in the start-up phase. Ms. Gaboury has served on the Advisory Board of FinDev Canada, on the Board of Directors of the Institut québécois des hautes études internationales at Laval University, chaired the Strategic Orientation Council of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) of as well as the Development Committee of the International Cooperative and International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF). Her international experience and studies in psychology (M.Ps.), business management (MBA) and governance (C. Dir.) give her a multidisciplinary perspective of businesses and their development impacts.
