Nicole is responsible for operationalizing and managing FinDev Canada’s Development Impact Framework. As part of the investment team, Nicole guides investment assessment and monitoring, particularly in the areas of market development, women’s economic empowerment, and climate mitigation and adaptation.
Prior to joining FinDev Canada, Nicole was manager of markets transformation at the Rainforest Alliance, advising global companies on tropical commodities’ supply chain sustainability. Nicole also has 10 years of experience in inclusive financial sector development and agricultural value chains through roles as director of rural finance at MEDA and at CGAP/The World Bank. She was a faculty member of the Boulder Institute of Microfinance from 2010-2013 and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Enterprise Development & Microfinance journal.
Nicole holds an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, bachelor’s in business administration and political science from the University of Florida, and is an alumnus of the Kinship Conservation Fellows program.
